Has anyone here had an illness, such as a bout of food poisoning, that worsened IBS?
I had an illness, possibly food poisoning, about 12 years ago. My digestive system became much more sensitive. I was having more frequent flares and terrible abdominal cramps. As a result, my dietary choices became more limited.

Oh, my, yes, I had the same thing happen with some seafood. Then I had IBS on steroids for a month. Terrible. I'm sorry you had to go through that. I'm sure people have been through all kinds of variations on that theme. Perhaps someone will share their experience.
