Weird IBS Symptoms

Have you ever experienced what you thought was a "weird" or "strange" symptom and wondered if others with IBS have experienced it too?

  1. Yes. I would get a rash on the inner aspect of my butt cheek a day BEFORE an IBS flare-up. The doc kept saying it’s from raw skin from IBS flare ups totally ignoring that it happens BEFORE a flare up. My neuropathy in my legs also get much worse. My doctors gaslight me when I report these symptoms

    1. I get extremely hungry every 4 hours, then I have to eat and when I do my IBS D flares up,it’s a never ending cycle and the GI doctor dismisses it. I finally asked my family doctor to refer me to someone else because for over 20 I’ve been seeing this man and not really getting the help I need. I also have breakouts of skin rashes mostly on my face when the bowels act up.This is so frustrating.

      1. I have Ibs D too. I have same thing hungry, gurgles, pain then hungry again. About 3 or 4 hrs. The best I have ever felt was when I was on phentermine and not hungry. Now 66 I cannot have it perscribed due to age. I need something to slow down my colon from spasms again.

      2. Also the change in the weather really messes me up, live in Ohio and it’s been raining a lot then bright sunny days then cold then it starts all over again. As much as I have a eat I’m amazed I haven’t gained a lot of weight but of course the next day most of it comes out, this is so sad 😭

    2. I don’t think my symptom seems to be very common but when I get really anxious, I feel a bubble on my lower left abdomen. I’m having a particularly tough time right now and it really feels like there’s a lump in that area. It can’t felt on the outside of my body, it a sensation of having a lump. I hate IBS.

      1. thank you

      2. Yes, I get bubble feelings too but on the right, so appendicitis springs to mind. It isn’t though - it’s just trapped air.

    3. Same here and they can't find anything

      1. can you describe your symptoms? I’d really appreciate it.
