Have you ever experienced what you thought was a "weird" or "strange" symptom and wondered if others with IBS have experienced it too?

Yes. I would get a rash on the inner aspect of my butt cheek a day BEFORE an IBS flare-up. The doc kept saying it’s from raw skin from IBS flare ups totally ignoring that it happens BEFORE a flare up. My neuropathy in my legs also get much worse. My doctors gaslight me when I report these symptoms

In 1971 I was a youngER nurse. I contracted active TB, almost died, but was treated and survived. Weeks later I shared developing symptoms of Lupus/SLE.throughout my adult life. In the@old days” Lupus was recognized by medical professionals. Ii took care of patients with it especially kidney transplants. My doctors acknowledged that I had might have an autoimmune disease. But the science was wanting. At that time doctors accepted/trusted me and I was treated well for many years because my doctor’s knew me, unlike today. I have beat the Grim Reaper many times . Since the Pandemic, I lost my doctors and my care has been poor due to changes in healthcare system. Developed IBS at 75 yo. Yes, IBS can exist with Lupus. Doctors today are skeptical x Go figure? I get extremely hungry every 4 hours, then I have to eat and when I do my IBS D flares up,it’s a never ending cycle and the GI doctor dismisses it. I finally asked my family doctor to refer me to someone else because for over 20 I’ve been seeing this man and not really getting the help I need. I also have breakouts of skin rashes mostly on my face when the bowels act up.This is so frustrating.

I tried to research and study it, and can normally get a lot out of scientific articles, but for that subject, I could not completely understand it.

I don’t think my symptom seems to be very common but when I get really anxious, I feel a bubble on my lower left abdomen. I’m having a particularly tough time right now and it really feels like there’s a lump in that area. It can’t felt on the outside of my body, it a sensation of having a lump. I hate IBS.
