Discomfort worse with standing/walking?

Anyone have IBS symptoms but mostly normal bowel movements? And how about left side abdominal discomfort made worse when standing or walking? First thing I notice after a pain free night of sleep is the left side abdominal dull ache as soon as I stand up and start walking.

  1. Left side pain is definitely something that many of our community members experience. https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/forums/symptoms As you can see there, you are not the only one. Hopefully some more members will chime in but these are definitely things we have heard of before! Keep on keepin' on, DPM

  2. I experience something but it doesn't sound exactly the same as what you have.
I can sometimes get very bad trapped wind-type pains / cramps. Standing and walking make them much worse. The only way I have found to cure it when that happens is to lay down completely flat on the floor (with a little neck support)
In less than 10 minutes the pains disappear and don't return when I get up again. Even if I don't pass any wind.
But that doesn't just affect the lower left side for me. The cramps go everywhere.
Those pains never start up either when I am lying in bed or sleeping.
It's probably different to what is affecting you.

    1. Different but the pain is always the same I'd bet, and it can be serious and it stinks! You are not alone in that! Keep on keepin' on, DPM
