Symptoms - discomfort during IBS-M episode
Hoping someone here can speak to this! Does anyone experience left side and left lower back discomfort during mixed diarrhea & constipation episode? Could this be trapped gas?
This could be your descending colon. Definitely could be trapped gas as well. Does it only happen when you have a bowel movement? -Elizabeth (team member)
Thanks for responding. I get the discomfort first, on my left side and back area. I'm wondering if the back is a referred pain. This is accompanied with a feeling like I haven't fully emptied my bowel and burping and passing gas. If I passed enough gas this seems to alleviate the symptoms. I'm making an appointment with a gastro doctor to find out if its IBS or whatever. I can have semi-diarrhea as well as constipation in the same day.
Yep, sometimes when my guts are exploding stomach and lower back both ache like pulled muscles but only briefly. Try peppermint oil I get mine at Dollar General. This will help with burping and gas.
