IBS-C with bloating

Hi. I’m 20 years old, and I’ve been suffering from severe bloating for 10 of those years. It’s ruined my normal life, and I still haven’t found a solution. But I don’t want to just complain here. I would really like to ask you to share your experiences if you’ve faced something similar. What helped with flatulence? Because I don’t know what to do anymore. Maybe there are some new studies or methods? I go to the bathroom almost every day, but I have a hard time with it. The bloating doesn’t go away until I empty my bowels of everything (not just gas). That’s why I can’t leave the house until I force myself to go to the bathroom. It makes life incredibly difficult. I’m severely depressed and have completely lost my joy in life. Please share your story and advice. I would be very grateful

  1. First, just know you are not alone. So many of our community members deal with these kinds of issues on a daily basis. Here are a few articles that you may want to check out:

It is tough, these issues are not just annoying but can be socially awkward as well. Have you considered checking with a physician or dietician to see if there's anything amiss there? EIther way, you are always welcome here and let us know if there's anything else we can do to help. Keep on keepin' on, DPM

    1. Hello. Thank you for your response! I’ll definitely read the attached articles. I’ve seen many doctors. I’ve been diagnosed with IBS, SIBO, and an elongated intestine with organ prolapse. I also had anemia and gallbladder deformity. Antibiotics for SIBO didn’t help me. As for all the other issues, I was told they likely don’t affect the bloating. To be honest, I’ve already tried so many things. And I’m just at my wit’s end. It’s incredibly hard for me, especially during flare-ups. The main problem has always been bloating and gas. I don’t know how to get rid of it. I have a secondary lactose allergy, but I was on a lactose-free diet for a long time. I’ve also been on a gluten-free diet, but then my constipation got worse, my stools were hard, and the bloating problem wasn’t resolved. It’s especially hard in the mornings. My intestines feel terribly bloated. I’ve already forgotten when I last woke up with a smile on my face and a calm stomach 🙁
