FODMAP and dry mouth

I recently went on FODMAP, which does seem to help with my IBS. However, I have serious dry mouth issues, using lozenges containing Xylitol was the only thing that really helped, but now I can't because of the FODMAP restrictions. Suggestions?

  1. Do the lozenges cause you any symptoms at all? If you're past the elimination phase of the Low FODMAP diet, I would try reintroducing them to see if you have any reaction. Hopefully, other community members will be able to share other suggestions with you! Karina (team member)

    1. If you're looking for other lozenges to try, Grether's pastilles could be a good option! Singers swear by them for a multitude of reasons, including to combat dry mouth. They are a little more money than what you could get at the pharmacy but they definitely help a lot. ~Michaela (team member)
