Miriam Dugger and IBS
I was diagnosed with this disease in 1984. After undergoing some very grueling tests, IBS turned out to be the culprit with a bloated stomach accompanied by diarrhea and constipation. It seemed every month I was being admitted to the hospital for at least 10 days hooked up to IV bags until I was able to tolerate foods. It can be a monster, but, I try to stay on my high fiber, low fat diet, and during flareups, I take the medicines prescribed by my Gastroenterologist.
