Why do I always belch after drinking juice?

Not carbonated drinks, just normal juice. Not with water though, but juice, no matter what's in it.
I drink some juice from a glass, the same as I do with water, yet after juice I get a temporarily bloated feeling in my stomach and feel a pressure coming up, and out comes a big loud "juicy" belch. The "juice burps" often sound like Barney from The Simpsons.

Anyone know why this only happens when I drink juice but not water? I don't think I gulp any more air down with juice than I do with water. If I do burp after drinking water, it's less gross-sounding. But after juice it's more like an uncontrollable cartoonish belch that fills the room.
I don't make myself do it though, but it feels really good afterwards.

  1. It is hard to say since everyone's IBS if different but I can sympathize how frustrating it must be. We do have an article on some of the liquids that can trigger IBS https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/living/best-liquids-ibs but it varies from person to person. It may be worth asking your physician what might be causing the surplus gas. Let us know what they say! Keep on keepin' on, DPM
