Ulcerated colitis
diagnosed with ulcerated colitis in 95, colon removed in 98, lifestyle was ok till 2022 then the worst gut pain and diarrhea for 4 months waiting for Gi Dr. to have an appointment opening. PC Dr sent me to a rheumatologist, who told me that I have sporadic arthritis. A month later [the 5th month] the flare is gone and the Gi Dr. can't tell me what is wrong with my gut because I'm not flaring. Do I have Crone's disease or IC? or is it just called IBS ?
I'm so sorry that you went through all of this. Unfortunately, it's really hard to know why symptoms suddenly appear... Did your doctor do any tests to rule out other illnesses or infections? Usually, people tend to get an IBS diagnosis if all tests come back negative (that's what happened for me at least). If not, I would definitely ask for tests.
