That must have been difficult for you, to have to call the plumber. I haven't had exactly the same, but when I have to call the plumber it's often to do with my water heater needing a new element.
Why do plumbers always have to turn up at 8.30 am? I don't know, but they do. It's like "afternoons are cancelled" . Then it's water off, and as the water heater is next to the bathroom...no hope to "go" while he is working. So that's me awake at 5.30 am. I do "go" but not very well. I keep the faith and know everything will work out just fine.....right?
I make another morning coffee for both the plumber and myself. I sit outside to drink my second cup of the day, to let him get on with his work.
Half way through my coffee I feel the need to go again...oops. I whistle a little tune instead, and get ready with a "plan B" emergency red alert situation, so grab a roll of toilet paper, a plastic bag, fill a small bottle with warm water from what is still left in the kettle, and get a garden trowel.
Do you know where this is going yet?
I bet you do.
My greatest fear is that he will rush downstairs from the bathroom suddenly shouting "it's all done now". Let's hope not, but nothing is for sure.
There's a bit of wild land where a tree fell, just on the border of my garden. It's easy to get over a small fence, and there I do a little digging.
All I can say is I wish plumbers, electricians and the like would do afternoon appointments! 🙁
