New drug to treat pain

Has anybody heard of a new pain medicineto treat colon pain that does not constapate you? I have a IBSC and have to use a enema to have a bowel movement. I never have a urge. I have severe pain that lets me know I need to have a bowel movement and then after I take the enema I still have pain. I have been to the ER several times with the pain. The doctor said the only thing they can do is to remove my colon. They said I have a slow transit colon and the food says in so long it causes pain. They will not give me any pain meds b/c of my IBSConstapation. Any informaion on this drug or if you have slow transit colon problam will be wonderful.

  1. Just wanted to pass along some of the info we have on medications right now https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/medications
I have not personally heard of any new pain medication that don't cause constipation, but some of the newer ones on the market are things like Belbuca and LDN. These might be something to ask your physician about to see if they are something that may help you. Otherwise, please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help. Keep on keepin' on, DPM
