Ruthie, I remember a couple of times maybe a year or so ago...when I got angry too. I told IBS to F*** off and leave me alone. I threw a knife in the sink and broke one of my favourite dishes. I scribbled 'F off and leave me alone IBS!!!' in my food and symptom journal, and had to rip out 2 pages and re-write the days I had wrecked. It took an hour. The pressure from the pen I used went through about 8 pages!
I don't think I get angry any more. But it is good to let out your feelings safely, I think. It is a lot for us to put up with.
We fight, and adapt, and still keep getting hit by IBS no matter what we do. It's natural to feel emotional about it at times.
I am IBS D so can't be a lot of help to you re: the C, I'm sorry. I do sometimes get it turn to C, but that is not frequently, and usually resolves in one or two days. All I have to do is eat something 'forbidden' to straighten it out (such as my favourite lentil stew with carrots and lashings of black pepper.... ) So it's nothing like you are having to cope with.
I hope you can find something to ease your symptoms soon. Wishing you the best.
