Why does it take so long to get into a gastroenterologist? I called for an appointment last week and can't get in until May with the Nurse Practitioner, the doctor wasn't available until June. At my wits in. No wonder people turn to the Internet for advice and help.

I have to admit that this seems to be the norm lately. I have to book at least a month ahead, if not more. It is silly, and seems to have taken a turn for the worse ever since COVID. I can't imagine what will happen if we ever have something like that again! Sufficed to say you are not alone in this. Keep on keepin' on, DPM

The Gastrointestinal told me to “watch my diet” period ! Early last year I discovered Imodium and a low dosage antispasmodic and that combination works great the gut start to act up!

I did not get any real help when I used to see one.

If you're an existing patient they should accommodate you and squeeze you in for a 15-30min visit even if its with someone else in the group. Sometimes its worth travelling outside your area to go see one sooner. Or You can try a naturapathy doctor instead.
