Mucus and narrow stools.

Hello there.
I v been diagnosed with IBS two years ago. Typical symptoms that come and go such as abdominal pain cramps and passing winds. Done colonoscopy CT scan stool and blood test all came normal. Only thing that worries me is my bowel movement. After breakfast I have normal bm shape color everything. Then half an hour later I feel urge again but I pass only few narrow skinny stools with loads of mucus. Is it ok with IBS symptoms like these. Thank you

  1. Thanks for reaching out. Be sure to speak with your doctor about any new, changing or concerning symptoms, if you haven't already. In addition to speaking with your doctor, these articles may be helpful: https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/clinical/bristol-stool-scale and https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/symptoms Wishing you some relief ahead. 1. You should speak to your doctors but aside from that: Yeah, strangely coloured/formed stool and mucus (not too much tho) CAN be a symptom of IBS. Over the last few years I've seen some really crazy shades of yellow (bc. of insufficent fat absorption I'd wager)/ consitency and forms of all shapes and sizes and I even had blood (I was worried sick until I realised that in my case that blood came from small wounds caused by irritated skin).
