Hi,
So, if I drink too much milk (>250ml), I feel like a brick in my stomach for the next 6-10hrs. It may causes me night sweats too.
More than 250g of yogurt seems to cause me issues too, although less severe.
I am trying Kefir (<150g) and it seems to feel 'light' to digest. I eat it and I don't feel it.
Generally, I have a lot of gas generation (both burps and farts). A few times I have eaten a pizza and my belly swell, I looked like I was 5 months pregnant all of a sudden! Then the morning I was 'flat' again. Last time this happened, I ate some bread rolls homemade with no dairy, but a bit fat (olive oil) (however, I don't remember if I ate dairy that day).
Cheese-wise: I digest hard cheeses easier than soft cheeses. Soft cheeses seem to generate some kind of 'heat' or burning in my intestine (less so in the stomach).
I don't have diarrhea nor costipation issues. Although some days I have something similar to diarrhea as I poo 4 times in 1 day (soft stools).
Other trigger foods seem to be: peanut butter and sesame oil.
Do I have issues digesting lactose products? Or is it generic IBS? Can the IBS be cause by dairy products? Is it gluten intollerance/sensitivity?
