Yakult

Happy New Year everyone and I hope you have not had any issues with IBS over the Christmas period.
I wanted to ask if anyone has tried yakult drink and has it helped at all?
I take dulcosoft liquid which softens the stools and eases constipation but it is in short supply so I've suffered a bit this month. Dulcoease is more of a laxative which gives me stomach cramps. I just wish (like most of you probably do) that I could just have normal bowel movements. My partner goes the same time every day no problem.
Any other suggestions for constipation other than laxatives and plenty of fluids and exercise much appreciated. I can't eat a lot of fruits and vegetables

  1. Thanks for reaching out. Such a bummer when you have something that's helping you and then you can't get it anymore. I hope others in our community chime in with their personal experiences to share. yakult is a good source of probiotics. In addition to speaking with your doctor, this article on probiotic foods may be helpful: https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/food/probiotic-prebiotic-foods. 1. Hello, I’ve never found yakult to help and read its full of sugar. I did try kefir for a number of months and this eased off my symptoms to a degree but then they came back.
