What to eat

My flareup started last Monday. Friday night I started with watery diahrrea which usually indicates an ending, but the diahrrea continues although not as frequent and the pain has receded mostly. The doctor who diagnosed me years ago advised not to take immodium but just let it run its course. I am wondering what I should eat. I have intolerance to any starchy vegetables, eggs and peanuts, etc. I am on warfarin so cannot eat anything green. Just looking for something that will help me back to a normal bm. Have had to cancel two appointments for Covid vaccine because I was too nervous to take a chance on getting there.

  1. My heart goes out to you . Whenever I am in a flare, I always sip on bone broth or chicken broth. But that certainly doesn't help bulk up stool. Are you able to tolerate toast? Or banana? Those help a lot in that aspect. -Elizabeth (team member)

    1. Seems to have abated somewhat. I have been drinking a lot of water, eating crackers, jello, etc. Last night I had some baked macaroni and so far today I have been alright. Still a little nauseated, but might have to attribute that to the vertigo and buzzing in my ears that's been going on for a couple of weeks. My doctor assured me that I don't need to worry about the vaccine...I will get done eventually.

      1. Glad you are feeling a bit better. If you are able to rest, take advantage and allow your body to recuperate. Rest is key! Sending hugs your way, Elizabeth (team member)

    2. Thanks so much for your input. As you probably know unless someone can relate, they have no idea how upsetting and frustrating it can be dealing with this. It's nice to find a kindred soul!

      1. You are so welcome. Yes, I understand completely. There is nothing more healing than knowing you aren't alone and that others go through the same. Feel better. Hugs, Elizabeth (team member)
