Treating bloating in IBS

I have suffered from IBS-C for more than 10 years now. I was diagnosed when i was 13 and now I am 23. I have also had very severe bloating that kept me from falling asleep several nights.

One extremly effective treatment for this excruciating bloating I have found that gives almost immediat relief is eating a small portion of oatmeal porage sprinkled with raspberrys on top.

Another tip is to stay clear from artificiell sweetnerswhen having IBS, they really do interfere with the gut bacteria and allways ends up causing digestive issues.

  1. Hi , thank you so much for sharing! I'm glad that the small portion of oatmeal works so well for you and I agree that artificial sweeteners can be terrible triggers, I have IBS-D and also have to stay far away from them!

    1. Thank you so much for sharing with us! I know that I, myself, have had significant issues with artificial sweeteners. I remember my last bout with the stuff came from eating an entire pack of sugar-free mints in one sitting. I'll never make that mistake again! I hope you've been doing well and communicating with your doctor about further IBS/digestion issues. Wishing you a gentle day! ~ Sawyer (irritablebowelsyndrome.net team)
