Perineum swelling?

Alright, while I was in the hospital in December, I started to develop an issue in my buttcrack. Specifically, in the perineum area. (See medical diagram to see where the perineum is)

I had a small lump form, which I thought was a hemorrhoid but then I found out that's not where hemorrhoids form. At points, other lumps would form beside it, all the way down where my buttcheeks cover. I had been putting Prep H on the area but that was doing nothing. Finally, 2 weeks ago, I put a cannabis-infused cream on it and the swelling went down.

I see my doctor on the 23rd to talk about it, at the time I made the appointment, I thought it was hemorrhoids. I was just wondering if anyone has experienced something similar or knows what is going on? Thank you in advance.
