IBS Constipation

I am having so much trouble with IBS-C, and I’ve had success with taking samples of Linzess, but I cannot afford to buy the prescription! Does anyone have suggestions, alternatives, etc.? I could use some advice!

  1. Try eating a kiwi a day. Stay consistent and give it a week or two. You should see a big help with the constipation. I learned this from a Dietician. I hope it works for you. -Elizabeth (team member)

    1. I'm so sorry that you're struggling so much. In addition to the advice above, I wanted to link some constipation tips other advocates have shared, such as Diet, Prebiotics, and Probiotics for IBS-C: https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/food/prebiotics-probiotics-constipation, Prunes and Dates: https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/living/prunes-dates-constipation, Self-Massage: https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/living/self-massage-for-constipation, Foods for Constipation: https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/food/constipation-food-tips, Magnesium and Vitamin C: https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/living/vitamins-constipation, and the Squatty Potty: https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/living/the-squatty-potty-review. In addition, here is some info on Fiber and Laxatives: https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/treatment/fiber-laxatives as well as Electrical Stimulation: https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/clinical/electrical-stimulation that might help.
I know that's a lot of links, I just wanted to give you as many ideas to try as possible.
Hopefully, some of these will help.
Wishing you quick relief, Karina (team member)

      1. Have you tried drinking Coconut water? Not only it hydrates you but its high in Potassium so may be a laxative to help you go better.

How about over the counter miralax?

Are you having issues with hemorrhoids as well?
