Best way to handle bloating from overeating?

Hi,
Sometimes I have this scenario with my appetite and diet:

- I have a strong appetite
- I go eat somewhere
- Usually this place is enough food to fill me, but with my appetite this strong, it does not
- I eat something in addition, to satisfy my appetite, like a McDonals
- McDonalds is fine for me, but I feel bloated as in overeaten, which sticks with me for a day or two (a bowel movement(s) may not completely empty my system)

The next day I may not have a strong appetite, but I eat food (like chicken/rice) to put pressure on my system, but this maybe makes it harder to empty out the system again. What is the correct approach when I feel this way? In terms of diet and any meds.

I eat thinking it adds pressure because sometimes when I go loo, i can't empty my stomach and when I eat dinner (even if less), it then makes me able to.

Thanks

  1. Hi , have you every tried taking digestive bitters or bitter herbs before meals to help with that? I always take bitter herbs (as a tincture or infusion) before eating when I feel like food is just sitting in my stomach, and it usually helps a lot. As for overeating and still being hungry even after a meal, this usually happens to me when I eat too many carbs and not enough protein. But we're all different, so it might not be the same for you. Some people also swear by digestifs, I don't know if you've tried that before. I hope other community members will soon chime in to share their experiences and advice with you. All the best, Karina (team member)
