IBS pain every day.. any suggestions on how to feel better?

Hi! I was diagnosed with IBS in 2013, when I was 23. I’ve been pretty much miserable since then, with nausea and abdominal cramping almost every day. I love to eat, but it’s gotten to the point that I have to be very, very cautious of which foods I eat. Any tips on what I can eat so I feel like a normal person again. Or at least as normal as one could feel with bad IBS.

  1. Hey, - Thanks for posting your question! I think your predicament will resonate with many in the community. Finding food that won't cause an issue can be difficult. Have you read about the low-FODMAP diet? Many folks have adhered to it and found some relief. Here's a great article on the basics: https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/ibs-diet/. Additionally, we have a lot of great recipes on our site that I think would still excite a foodie like you: https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/recipes/. Hope this helps! - Chris, IrritableBowelSyndrome.net Team
