I know the general advice is to avoid caffeinated drinks & fizzy drinks but sometimes water even gives me trouble, especially if I drink too much of it. I’ll get that familiar crampy feeling in my stomach together with some bloating & feeling of fullness which as you’ve guessed it, is generally relieved with some burps. I also find that water taken early in the day ie when I get up and haven’t eaten anything causes me no problems but the story changes later in the day after I’ve had some food. Even 2 hours after food is enough to cause bloating. Honestly it’s soul destroying.
