Researching my own IBS

Stopped me from having more babies because defecation during copulation is the type of humiliation which makes you die a thousand deaths. Would only consider a fellow sufferer and you can’t ask those sort of questions when you first begin to desire a person. All crushes have to crushed!

  1. Hey , this is such a hard truth! Thank you for sharing so openly. It's so hard to be vulnerable about this stuff when dating. Do you feel that it has made it difficult for you to make connections?

I pulled two articles for you, that may or not be helpful. They're about IBS and intercourse. If anything, maybe they will help you feel less alone! https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/living/sex and https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/living/digestive-issues-sex.
Please keep in touch! We're here for you!

    1. It never interfered with my social life. I have multiple friends. I belong to many clubs and groups etc. However, when anyone showed any romantic interest I had to invent a boyfriend to put them off. Lying I know but it’s one instance where the truth is mega embarrassing. I always fast before a gig and have never been taken short on stage. Other band members know about my condition and a guitarist has the same difficulty. I also know some medics who have it. Thanks for replying Kat. Lady drummer.

      1. I'm glad that IBS never interfered with your social life. I totally feel you about dating though. I had been with my boyfriend before my IBS started, so it was easier in a way. But dating and IBS is never really easy...
We have this article about it: https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/living/dating-memories, if you're interested.
I hope that someday, you'll find a person who gets your struggles so you feel comfortable with them despite your IBS.
