Major improvements from FMT (Fecal Microbiota Transplant) for IBS-D, bad gas, severe food intolerances

Full report: https://web.archive.org/web/20221101144334/https://old.reddit.com/r/FMTClinics/comments/uase7j/humanmicrobesorg_donor_flrs1997_addressing_ibsd/

I've been searching for a high quality stool donor for close to a decade. I'm the creator of https://humanmicrobiome.info and founder of humanmicrobes.org. I have done FMTs from more than a dozen donors. After screening 25,000+ applicants, this was the best donor I found.

I had IBS-C for many years, then took Rifaximin and it changed to IBS-D, along with many new problems, including intolerance to fat & protein. Out of all the donors I used, this one was the only one that enabled me to eat protein again.

Bad and frequent gas went away. Odor of gas & stools was drastically reduced and much less foul. Stool size decreased. Food tolerances increased.

I continued to see more & new benefits months after stopping the FMTs.

  1. Be careful tho. What they won't tell you is how badly this can end. There was once a time when I thought that stool donation could be the answer but nowadays they are more aware of the extreme risks involved.

    1. The main concern about FMT is donor quality. There are definitely plenty of people getting poor results. But that's mainly due to poor donor quality. High quality donors are very rare so most official sources of FMT, and people DIYing, are not using high quality donors.

That's what I'm trying to address by screening hundreds of thousands of donor applicants to look for super-donors.

    2. I really hope you'll get your successful donor 😀
      Best of luck to you!
