Is Intestinal circulation & heart state related to IBS?

The fix I found for my IBS centers around this. I was bloated with weak digestion. Doctors would usually prescribe digestives and related medication. They would work only temporarily. I was fedup. This continued for 2 years until I found my fix: I hv a bit of a medical background and I kept observing myself. Quite late I kind of realized that my IBS issues were not always related to the kind of food I ate. Sometimes heavy food would not cause issues and sometimes for no reason simple light food would cause bloating. I decide to self medicate myself for (Homeopathy is my hobby and I am quite good at it). When I medicated myself for heart and circulation in an intensive way, it seemed to go away. One more VERY important thing: I always felt like an egg lodged below my left rib cage attended with raised blood pressure (150/90) when this hits . When I took these medicines, the egg feeling below my left rib cage would go away and my BP would come back to normal and no bloating!! So it was clear to me that the left aorta supplying to my intestines was somehow struggling to push blood thru them. Whenever that becomes weak, IBS would start. In the past (6 years ago) I was prescribed mild anti hypertensive medication like routine for 3 weeks. I decided to add that to my medication. BINGO!!! That did it! These were beta blockers and caklcium blocker combo: Amlodipine (5mg) + Atenolol (25mg). It is now 3 weeks into resolution and I take these everyday half tablet in the morning and other half in the evening and supplement this with homeopathy (diuretic + heart support) and I am VERY HAPPY to share that my problem seems to hv been solved!!! It was a horrible 2.5 year journey......but now I seem to be out of it.......just wanted to share

  1. That's so interesting, thank you so much for sharing! I'm glad to hear that you're doing so much better. It's incredible how IBS can be linked to so many different things that apparently have nothing to do with digestion... Wishing you all the best, Karina (team member)

    1. That’s really interesting. I don’t know whether this is related but I was recently diagnosed with familial cholesterolimia and have to take 20mg statins everyday. Apparantly it is genetic. My parents were never diagnosed as I don’t think it was known enough back then. Take care and stay healthy. Best wishes. Heather

      1. As I root cause this further: This whole IBS-C thing is about poor circulation to the intestines (as in my post above) for sure BUT even that is root caused to stiff and pulled up pelvic floor muscles. If you are an anxious person u will feel the anus contract a 100 times during the day and each time this creates a pressure in the intestines above. Over time these muscles tend to become stiff in the "upped" state and compress the intestines above. This causes poor circulation. So the fix really is about loosening these pelvic floor muscles for the long term. I am already doing some technique and that is working: Stand up or bend slightly forward holding the back of a chair.Fill yr belly with air and dont exhale. In that state squeeze yr abdomen as though u are expelling stools and exert mild pressure continuously as long as u can hold yr breath. Do this 5 to 10 times 3 times day and slowly the pelvic floor will start going down and relaxing. U will feel much better. I think this is the fix. It has been working for me the last 3 days

        1. how do improve my intestinal circulation? my GP wont listen anything i can suggest, i guarantee

          1. : If u have high Blood pressure the GP can recommend vasodilators and beta blockers . They work on all of the peripheral circulation.
