Blockage?

A difficult week due to my bowel just not calming down after a flare up. It doesn't usually go on for this long but I've had awful wind and when I do manage to open my bowels the stools are long and thin so I just don't feel like I have emptied them properly. I can't seem to eat fruit or vegetables anymore which I love as they cause flare ups but I need fibre . Dulcosoft is great but it is not available anywhere unless you want to pay £46 from rip off merchants. I'm worried that there is a slight blockage hence thin poos.

  1. Thin stool doesn't necessarily mean blockage it can also just be inflammation. I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in addition to IBS and I have thin stool all the time unfortunately due to the inflammation. Are you able to get tested for Crohn's or UC. Ask your GI to test? Typically it is done through colonoscopy with biopsy. -Elizabeth (team member)
