I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. Have you tried experimenting with diet yet? The Low FODMAP diet (https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/ibs-diet) could be a good start, as well as trying a gluten and/or dairy-free diet for a while. I suppose your doctor did all the tests before diagnosing you with IBS? Have you been tested for SIBO as well? If not, I'd ask your practitioner about that, as bloating could be a symptom of SIBO and I imagine that having salmonella could have affected your microbiome. Here's some info about that: https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/ibs-diet. Sending hugs, Karina (team member)

I don't know much about bloating because I avoid looking, but I wanted to say that I too was launched into IBS-D by a food poisoning bout.

Thank you so much for sharing. I feel like many community members can relate to that. Have you done all the tests after your food poisoning to make sure that you didn't have a lingering infection? Did you try any treatments that helped alleviate your symptoms? Karina (team member)
