Probiotics

I asked my gastroenterologist about probiotics, but he didn't seem to want to give me any advice. He was persistent that taking prescription Linzess is the only way to manage IBS-C. I know there are different probiotics for ibs-d, ibs-c, and ibs-m. I'm trying to figure out which one will be good for ibs-c and what brands are the best.

  1. I have the same problems as you. It's a rough road to travel or do anything most of the time. I've been isolating myself from my family and friends for several years do to my IBSC.

    1. Great question! It may come down to some trial and error. These are some great articles on probiotics that may be a helpful starting point: https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/treatment/probiotics and https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/food/prebiotics-probiotics-constipation.
