Is this IBS?

Is this IBS?

Is it IBS if you get mucus on your crap that appear a little bit off some area of the surface of the crap.

Get occasional side pains that come and go, usually stops for months to years and comes backs randomly. This part is usually based on stress levels. Using something like a heating pad, taking a aleive helps out with it a lot. The pains pretty minor.

Don't have any real bathroom problems, usually I can just sit and go and it basically just falls out with minor pushing.

The crap is always long, well formed and roundish crap. Usually ranging from a brownish to a yellowish color. And usually go once every other days.

  1. Hey , I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing all these symptoms! I know it can be frustrating when these things pop up with no clear explanation. Have you ever spoken to a doctor about your concerns? It sounds like some could be symptoms of IBS, but unfortunately getting a definite diagnosis is usually not as simple and clear cut as you'd hope. A doctor would be the best person to talk to. You can also check out this article about some of the most common symptoms of IBS to get a baseline understanding. https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/symptoms. I hope this gives you some answers, but please feel free to reach back out if you have more questions! Take good care. - Kat (Team Member)

    1. I did goto a doctor a few years ago when my side was pretty much bugging me for a couple months. He pressed around the area and found nothing. Then did more extensive blood tests than normal. So it seemed like everything was normal and after a couple weeks of it went back to normal.

But yeah it's been that way for the last 16 years since my early 20s.

When I was a baby I was getting something like that only at the time it was bad enough I was throwing up and happened around 6 months. My parents had a doctor look at me and found nothing wrong. Though this was late 80 medicine.
