Ibsd rash

I have ibsd for 2 years. Before that it was ibsd very bad for 40 years. I can’t say which is worse. My question is - does anyone get rashes on your thighs and stomach from having a severe case of ibsd? I have been on steroids off and on. I am tired of the steroids.

  1. I don't get rashes but I certainly know prednisone and I understand being tired of it. I had to take high doses of it for a year or so and it literally destroyed my body. It has taken me close to a decade to get my body back to some semblance of a normal shape and I won't ever be able to undo the damage it did to my bones. It is certainly a medication worth getting tired of! Hopefully some of our community members will chime in about their experience with skin rashes! Keep on keepin' on, DPM

    1. Thanks for your reply. I have gained 15 pounds this year from the constant use of prednisone. I read that ibsc can cause a rash.

      1. That sounds so frustrating, I'm so sorry. 🙁
I haven't ever gotten rashes from IBS, but I do have dermatitis and the flares often coincide with IBS flares (because of hormones or other factors), so I'm wondering if that might be similar?
