IBS sharp pain
Hi,
Our Daughter suffers with extreme health anxiety. She’s had a lot going on in the last 6 months. Major abdominal operation, various children’s ailments, her bloods show low iron, b12 and folate and now missed three periods but def not pregnant. However for the last 7 days has had a stabbing pain in lower right tummy about an inch below navel and about 2 inches to the side. Too high for appendix (and the pain has been in one place )or ovaries, It hurts when she presses it. She has been diagnosed with IBS years ago and said she THINKS she’s had this type of pain before but she’s beside herself with worry. She concerned that it lasted so long. Has anyone else with IBS experienced a sharp pain in this location? (area of pain is red dot)
I'm so sorry that your daughter suffers from health anxiety and is now having this constant pain. I can imagine how scary that must feel, as someone who also has health anxiety. 🙁
Since this seems to be a new symptom for her and is also related to missing periods, I would definitely suggest she see a doctor to get this checked out. It's always better to be sure.
