Ibs no pain?

Does anyone else with ibs have it mild they rarely get pain?

  1. Thanks for reaching out. I hope others share their experience with you. Glad to hear that you are rarely having pain. Best wishes for continued relief ahead, Kelly, Irritablebowelsyndrome.net Team Member

    1. Hello, I saw your question on pain with IBS. I have IBS-C, as well as Celiac, diverticulitis and gastritis. Despite all this, I do not have constant pain, and the only time it is severe is when I have a diverticulitis flare-up. The IBSC pain is intermintent, but can be quite painful. Good luck!

      1. I'm so glad you don't suffer with a lot of pain! I hope you've been flare-free and will continue to be for a while. Thanks for sharing and being a member of our community! All the best, Michaela (irritablebowelsyndrome.net Team Member)

    2. I don't get much in the way of pain either (fingers crossed for the future!) The worst I get is trapped wind, and lying flat on my back, plus a belly massage (up the belly on the right side....over the midriff, and down the belly on the left, all while breathing mindfully) can help that pass naturally.
I do however, get a mild form of "discomfort" which feels like a mouse running about somewhere vaguely left, lower belly. I can't call that pain at all really.

      1. Colonic massage can really help, especially when you feel stuck! I know that feeling you mentioned. It's not pain, it's just weird discomfort. Its an odd feeling, for sure! I'll cross my fingers for you that it doesn't get worse! All the best, Michaela (irritablebowelsyndrome.net Team Member)
