Ibs d

I have had Ibs d for over 20 years, usually triggered by eating something. I thought I had that under control with a descent diet but still had the bloating, cramping, nausea. In last three months have had two episodes where about midnight, I got really nauseous and then diarrhea starts and goes for next 10-15 hours about every 1/2 to hour. Watery like I am taking a laxative for a colonoscopy.

Wondering if anyone gets this type of episodes or it might be something else. See gastro in august so want as much information as I can . Any input would be great!

  1. The symptoms you are describing are all very common in people with IBS, but the amount of time you are experiencing them concerns me. We are not able to provide medical advice, so I would strongly recommend reaching out to your doctor before your appointment. They might have some really great suggestions to help in the meantime. I hope this helps. - Samantha, IrritableBowelSyndrome.net Team

    1. I feel you. I've definitely woken up in the middle of the night with that all too familiar clammy and crampy feeling. It's so frustrating having to cut your sleep short thanks to unwanted night poos. How have you been feeling today? Have you found your symptoms to have improved, or at least be more manageable? Have you found a gastroenterologist or specialist who's been making life easier? Would love to know! Thank you so much for sharing with us. Wishing you a gentle and symptom-free day ~ Sawyer (team member)
