I take a generic Metamucil in capsule form daily. You would think it and a relatively high fiber diet would be the key to my constipation. But no! I go 3-4 days w/o a BM, then wham! I have a huge one, perhaps preceded by a "piecemeal" one in the 3 days before. The big one is painful and sometimes accompanied by vomiting or retching. Stress affects me mightily, but I have not identified specific foods that are triggers. I just wish I could even things out.
