, to add to what Chris just shared...everyone's experience with IBS is very personal and different (even when it's the same diagnosis). What works well for someone else with IBS-D may not be ideal for you, even if you suffer with IBS-D (and not IBS-C). In some cases of IBS, people find probiotics are actually not ideal to take during certain times (such as if SIBO is present), so they are added back in at a later time. I, myself, am still working on finding that "ideal" probiotic to help build back up my gut microbiome. It's always a good idea to look closely at all ingredients if choosing a probiotic, as some contain dairy which can be problematic if you are sensitive to that. If you are currently seeing a doctor for your IBS symptoms, they may have samples of probiotics you can try first before purchasing. At the end of the day...it's all about trial and error. Best of luck to you, and please stop back and let us know what is working for you! 😀
