Abdominal cramps

Hi all. I have suffered with IBS for over ten years but recently symptoms are worse. I am able to mostly control my flare up of IBS D with loperamide but my abdo cramps are increasing. I am currently on holiday and hoped that a change would improve my symptoms , however most mornings after breakfast I suffer with abdo cramps, thankfully by evening they settle down. I would really appreciate any advise from someone on here who may be able to help. TIA.

  1. Ask your doctor to test you for SIBO. When I had bad abdominal cramping it was due to that. Maybe something to look into. Sorry you are going through this. The heating pad becomes your best friend. -Elizabeth (team member)

    1. Thank you for your reply Elizabeth. My best friend at the moment is my hot water bottle.I think I must be having a bad day. I am on my third loperamide so far, hopefully will be better tomorrow. I am in bed at the mo while the rest of my family are continuing to enjoy our holiday.Fingers crossed that I will join them tomorrow.. Once again thank you.xx
