Can I have both IBS-C and IBS-D at the same time?

    Diarrhea in the morning 2 times maybe 3 times. I’m very nervous and scared I also have gas and my stomach makes gurgling sounds sometimes not so much pain but more like discomfort . I’m taking acidophilus

    Symptoms of both IBS-D and IBS-C can occur in people with IBS, this is typically called IBS-mixed and it’s the most common type of IBS. Feel free to learn more here:

    Mixed IBS (IBS-M) might be the most common IBS subtype. It is defined as grester than 25% of stools being loose and watery and greater than 25% of stools being lumpy and hard when you are not taking laxatives or antidiarrheals. People with IBS-M report symptoms that are common in people who have IBS with constipation (IBS-C), such as straining, the feeling of having an incomplete bowel movement, and manual evacuation of the bowels. They also report urgency, which is more typical of IBS with diarrhea (IBS-D).
