IBS? Help!

Hi! So I have not been diagnosed with IBS, but it has been brought up. However, I don’t normally have pain, just bad nausea and most recently severe constipation. Everything’s come back normal up until this point except two blood tests that showed I had elevated amylase and lipase. Has anyone with IBS experienced this/is this normal?! I should add that an ultrasound of my pancreas came back looking okay. Thanks!

  1. , IBS rears its head in so many forms, severity and duration depending on the person and their physiology/psychology. So, it's difficult to say. You are doing the right thing by seeing the doctor, taking the tests and seeing the process through. Just keep being open about what you are experiencing and perhaps you will get some answers soon. We are here for support should you need us. Hope you are well today. -Todd, IrritableBowelSyndrome.net Team

    1. I'm glad your pancreas results came back good! IBS is a diagnosis of omission, so if everything comes back negative, then IBS may be the situation at hand. How have you been feeling as of late? Have your symptoms been acting up or god forbid, worsening? Know you're not alone in this and we're here for you. Feel free to update us on how your progress has been as of late!

I hope the test results you got back were promising and you have doctors who have your back. Wishing you the best ~ Sawyer (team)
