Hey everyone,
I know this might not be the most typical post here, but I believe mental health, stress, and emotional well-being are deeply tied to our gut health — especially for those of us living with IBS.
Last year, I invested a lot into starting my own eCommerce business. I had high hopes, good capital, and what I thought was a solid plan. But despite all the effort, the business didn’t take off. Sales were almost nonexistent, and gradually, I started slipping into a depressed state. The stress took a toll on both my mind and body — and yes, my IBS flared up badly during that time.
It felt like I hit rock bottom. I stopped enjoying things, I questioned my decisions, and honestly, I lost my confidence.
But I didn’t give up.
After some reflection (and a few tough months), I decided to give it another shot — but with help this time. I reached out to a digital marketing agency called DigitalDriv. I wasn’t expecting miracles, but their approach felt honest and data-driven.
Fast forward to today: my business is finally growing. I'm seeing real sales, real engagement, and most importantly — I feel hopeful again. I'm not saying everything is perfect, but things are better. Much better.
This experience taught me two things:
It's okay to fail — sometimes it redirects you to a better path.
Seeking help — whether in business or mental health — is a strength, not a weakness.
If you're going through a rough patch, whether it’s in life, health, or work — just know you’re not alone. There is a way forward.
Has anyone here experienced how stress from work/business made their IBS worse? Or how getting back on track helped you feel better physically too?
Would love to hear your thoughts and stories 💬
Take care.
