Possible IBS

Hi, first time posting here. Really struggling with my potential IBS.

Had symptoms on and off for a couple of years but only had a flare up once every 2 or 3 months.

I had covid in July and since then i have been in a constant flare up. My BM vary from one or two a day to five or six. On top of this i get very bad bloating, and i think im also suffering with GERD. I have been to the doctors. They did stool samples, my calprotectin levels were severely elevated and have been reffered for an urgent colonoscopy but not given any appointment yet. I went back this week again to my doctor and he was going to send another urgent refferal.

It was so bad today i had to leave work early and i was getting nausea with it as well. Im taking immodium for the diarrhea. The doctors wont give me anything until ive had my colonoscopy and they know whats going on.

Has anyone any ways of dealing with the flare up? Im so fed up at this stage.
