Painkillers

Hi All
What painkillers have you found best for flare ups/severe flare ups?

Ive used codeine for years but doesnt seem to be working anymore. Doctors now given be dihydrocodeine.

    1. I hope you find success with dihydrocodeine. Like said, whatever works for me might not work for you, But I've found success with my antispasmodic dicyclomine. It significantly reduces cramping and makes flare-up pain much more manageable. Wish

      1. Not available/legal in all locations, but the only thing I have found that can destroy the feeling of misery and pain when a bad flare comes on is THC. Thankfully my state has a medical system setup.

        1. I hope you have been able to get some relief with dihydrocodeine. My IBS specialist and I have tried every medication that we could (allergies and heart issues makes some not an option) and nothing worked. It either made no difference or made things worse.

Thankfully, up here in Canada, medical marijuana is legal and has saved my life. I actually just finished consuming some Chemo, a strain made by David Suzuki (yes the nature guy) for cancer patients, because my IBS pains were so intense I was either going to pass out or throw up. There is still pain but it's gone from a 10 to a 3.
