Left abdomen pain for over a month

Hi folks, my mother had widespread relapse of metastatic breast cancer in late april and it caused me great anxiety and stress. I was also just recovering from bad bout of diarrhea due to something i ate probably and that is when the stomach cramps (feeling of gas trapped in stomach just below ribs on the left) started, a month later the cramps hadnt gone but i started feeling anxious about the pain so much so that i began doubting everything i ate. More the anxiety more the pain, i am not clinically diagnosed with IBS but doctor says its due to stress so i self diagnosed. I have been having left abdominal cramps with left pelvic pain, groin pain, inner thigh pain, hip pain and back ache as well (Gosh!) I feel like what if something is really wrong with me! Has anyone felt pain this longlasting ? It will comfort me if you share your experience and give me confidence
Thank you all!

  1. Hi , I'm so sorry that you didn't get any reply when you first posted this.
How have you been doing? Did your left abdomen pain resolve, or did you find out what was causing it?
I can only speak from personal experience, but stress and anxiety can cause all kinds of symptoms for me, from typical digestive symptoms related to my IBS-D, pain in various areas of my body, headaches, nausea.... However, if the symptoms persist, I would definitely ask for tests to be done to rule out any other cause. It's always best to be sure, especially when the pain lasts for so long!
How is your mother doing? I really hope that she was able to get the cancer under control.
    Sending big hugs,
