IBS with Gastritis and Peptic Ulcers

Hi, new here. I was recently diagnosed with IBS with Gastritis and small Peptic Ulcers and it’s been mentally draining for me. I’m terrified to eat as I get severe pain and vomiting but can’t not eat. Looking for some advice and fellow sufferers haha. Thanks!

I am so sorry to hear about your diagnoses. I know what you mean about being afraid of food because of the shear pain. It's such a vicious cycle.

I find that when I am in my worst flares, bone broth or chicken broth are so soothing. They provide great nutrients and promote healing of the gut. I also recommend getting on a probiotic regimen. I take them daily and they help me stay regular and reduce pain and bloating.

Diet is super important. I stay away from sugar, dairy and grains.

Also stress is a huge culprit in aggravating symptoms. So try to keep your stress levels low, of course that is easier said than done, but if you make it a priority it can improve.

I hope this helps some. Feel better!

    Big hugs, Elizabeth (team member)
