I have to go for a scan on tuesday

Thanks for reaching out. Apologies for the delayed reply. What type of scan are you having? For some diagnostic scans, they will give you a colon cleanse to clear the bowels beforehand. Here is some info on IBS exams/scans: https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/testing-and-diagnosis/imaging

If your scan is for something else, I might suggest you treat your appointment the same as if you were traveling. Try to stick with foods that you know don't trigger you. Openly communicate with the nurses and ask to use the restroom ahead of time. I'd suggest arriving earlier than needed to allow yourself time to use the bathroom and help reduce stress.

How were the results of your scan? Would love to know what you were diagnosed with, if anything! How have you been managing as of late? For me, omitting foods or taking Imodium is what I try and do on a regular basis. Everything else like travel, anxiety, time of morning, are things I try my best not to worry about. Only the things I can have control of!
