Hi guys new to IBS

So I always getting diarrhoea every single day sometimes I could be lucky where I can't go a toilet basically doctors put me on mebeverine pills been on them since 15 may.they didn't even do any tests or anything he said it definitely IBS
Diarrhoea is nightmare it makes me feel dirty and poor mum having.to.keep washing bed sheets and bottoms it horrible 😢 is there any over medication I can take aswell that fully stop diarrhoea I have learning disabilities and movement condition called dyspraxia so my life is so hard mum said wheni was baby I used have diarrhoea for months on end but doctors didn't do anything
Is this definitely IBS that I have got
I have stop eating mushrooms as I had really bad belly camps
Before I was given there's pills

  1. Hi , I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. Since the doctor didn't do any tests, I personally wouldn't feel comfortable just assuming that it's IBS. Can you get a second opinion and get at least a stool test and some blood work done? Having diarrhea every single day could also be an infection or something else, like IBD, that needs specific treatment.
    If you had this as a baby, could you have had a cow's milk protein allergy? My son had it (as well a soy allergy) and was throwing up all the time, but a friend's baby who had CPMA also had diarrhea. One of our community members even shared that they still deal with this as an adult, unfortunately I can't find the comment.
    Have you tried cutting out dairy and gluten from your diet? These are common triggers, no matter what exact condition you have, so I'd try that while waiting to get tests done. The Low FODMAP diet might help as well in the meantime.
