Chronic Tummy Pain , Please help

I request someone to help me on urgent basis.
I am 50 years old. I started tummy pain around 6 years back. Initially it used to start by night and gradually increased to mid night. Then after couple of years it started by afternoon and then gradually increased till mid night. Now it starts from morning and increase gradually by late night. Tummy pain got reduced during Covid time when I was working from home in between. Blood, urine, stool, endoscopy, colonoscopy reports are ok. Normally doctors give medicine for high acidity but no relief. I do not take any medicine.
I realized during covid that pain gets increased due to stress so now trying to reduce stress since last year but pain level going up and not reducing. I am vegan and teetotaller with simple food habits. Goes for walk regularly. Stopped jogging since 2016 as get throat burning.
Can anyone highlight or add view. I am bit worried so please help.

  1. Looks like everything comes from your nervous system, so my advice is that you take supplementation or add some habits to balance it. And in the meantime do a microbiota test (test your intestinal flora) and see if you have any bacteria, mushroom or parasite incresed in your intestine. And take it from there with a naturopath or holistic doctor.

    1. Hi . I too struggle with severe cramps even after the runs havevstopped. Two things have helped me: ginger tea to which l add a little bit of sugar and advil. Tylenol does nothing for me but the tea really calms my intestines. I take advil if l am not at home and it helps too. Hope it works for you.

    2. Thank you so much for sharing what works for you! Sending hugs, Karina (team member)

  2. I'm so sorry that you're dealing with this pain, that must be so hard. Since you mentioned that your symptoms got better when you were working from home, I would agree that at least part of them is due to stress. I'm the same, I can feel (and eat) perfectly well when I'm feeling good but get constant symptoms when I'm stressed or anxious...
Have you tried hypnotherapy for IBS yet (https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/living/hypnotherapy-experience)? I know that it's not for everyone, but I did a 6-week program using an app several months ago and it worked really well.
Have you noticed any differences in symptoms depending on what you eat or drink?
Wishing you all the best, Karina (team member)

    1. Whenever I have stomach pain, I take some children's liquid Tylenol. It relieves the pain within just a few minutes. It's an anti-inflammatory and it will calm your stomach. Don't do this if you are on other pain meds, however, or if you already take Tylenol- too much Tylenol can cause liver damage.

      1. Thank you so much for sharing, I'm so glad that this works for you! We've had another forum discussion about Tylenol not too long ago: https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/forums/using-two-tylenol-a-day. It's good to know that it can help! Wishing you all the best, Karina (team member)

    2. All I know is after I go to the bathroom(constipation) I get pain. My doctor told me it's my muscles being stretched. It's not a cure but maybe an explanation.

      1. Are you taking anything that is gut healing? I'm sure that pain can be improved. When I mean gut healing, things like L-Glutamine, Probiotic, CBD oil, Fermented foods, eating non-processed food, bone broth, chicken broth. -Elizabeth (team member)
