Christmas and IBS

Does anyone else have problems with IBS before and during Xmas. I get depressed and my digestive problems increase this time of year.

  1. I'm sorry that this time of year is so difficult for you. You're definitely not alone! I also struggle with increased symptoms around Christmas. I believe that's mostly due to stress, as we always spend holidays with my in-laws who aren't vert understanding about my food choices. There also aren't enough bathrooms for their huge family (we're now over 20 with everyone's children) which always makes anxious. How about you? Sending hugs, Karina (team member)

    1. Sounds like my worst nightmare. You have my every sympathy. I just have my closest friend who has seen it all in gory details. I think it's the usual gut health = mental health scenario and the usual holiday depression when suicides increase (don't panic I ain't that bad) I have my music and friends who also have chronic illnesses. Thanks for getting back to me. Glad to know I'm not the only one. Take care, stay safe and we will both try not to let the bastards grind you down. Xxxx

      1. Yes I feel that. I'm glad that you have friends who understand and support you, that's so important. We're going to get through it together! Wishing you all the best, Karina (team member)

    2. You definitely aren't alone. For the holidays I tend to flare as well. I think for me, it's due to some stress but I also get in trouble eating foods that I shouldn't. Holidays are always a tough time I feel, for anyone dealing with illness. I hope you are doing okay today. Big hugs, Elizabeth (team member)

      1. I feel better to know I ain't the only one. I have GERD and Hiatal Hernia the evil offspring of IBS and this week I have had all 3. Such fun. Thanks for your support. Stay safe, keep warm and don't let the bastards grind you down 😘😘😘
