"I'm hoping someone can help me with some information on Linzess. It's $272 for 15 pills. I'm trying to get it cheated on their website. Having had IBS for decades I'm hoping that this drug helps. I'm in so much pain every day. If anyone has any suggestions as to what else I can do I would do appreciate it. Thank you. Carol"

  1. Hi Carol, I'm so sorry that you're in so much pain and that Linzess is so expensive... Have you ask your doctor about other, less expensive medications? We also have a collection of articles all about pain here: https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/chronic-pain. Maybe you'll find some helpful tips in there?
I would ask suggest posting your question in our forums here: https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/forums to make it more visible to other community members.

  2. Hi Carol, I'm just checking in to see how you've been doing. Did you find a solution to be able to try Linzess? Hugs, Karina (team member)

  3. Hi, I wasn't able to get the medication. I had tried something different. I suffer almost everyday with severe IBS. This horrible stomach issue impacts my entire life. It's extremely difficult to make any sort of plans because I don't know how my stomach with be that day. I continue to try different things that I believe will help me to feel better. I'm always reading about how IBS is hopefully finding different ways to help with all that a person goes through to navigate in life to be more comfortable.

  4. I'm so sorry that you haven't been able to get the medication and that your symptoms are so severe. That's so, so hard. 🙁 You're definitely not the only one who struggles with making plans. So many of us here can relate.
Did the other medication help at all? What have you tried so far for your IBS?
I agree that it takes so much trial and error to find things that help. For me personally, I've found that addressing my anxiety helps a lot with IBS symptoms, more so than food for example (although food is still important). Medication never worked for me.
Please let me know if you'd like me to link any resources from other community members for you, in case you're looking for new ideas to try.
Sending big hugs, Karina (team member)
