Pelvic pain and ibs

Does any one else experience left lower tummy pain and pelvic pain I seem to always experience this with a flare up and I seem to get diarea first for days then constipation for days after? I am very stressed at the moment and I know this is why 🙁

  1. Thanks for sharing and reaching out. Be sure to speak with your doctor about any new, changing or concerning symptoms, if you haven't already. In addition to speaking with your doctor, this article may be helpful to you: https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/symptoms/stomach-pain-common-sign-symptom-of-ibs. Wishing you some answers and relief ahead. best, Kelly, Irritablebowelsyndrome.net Team Member

    1. thank you so much I am going to go to the doctors I have asked them if maybe I could go on some low dosage anti depressants as I feel this would help me manage my stress a lot more.

  2. I feel you, stress is a terrible trigger for me, too. 🙁 I do sometimes get cramps in my lower abdomen right before or during a flare, but not pelvic pain. I've found several articles that mention pelvic pain as a common symptom though, for example these:
    https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/symptoms/non-gastrointestinal-digestive-symptoms-of-ibs
    https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/living/digestive-issues-sex
It could also be a symptom of something else though, like endometriosis:

As Kelly said, I'd definitely talk to a doctor about this if you haven't already.

    1. Thank you so much I am going to have a read. Thanks for all of your support

      1. I get left lower pain all the time during a flare but not pelvic pain. So sorry you are dealing with this. Lower stress can be challenging but it is so important. Like you mentioned below, perhaps a low dosage of anti depressants wouldn't be a bad idea. -Elizabeth (team member)
